The government of Davao City donated ten million pesos for victims of the furious typhoon Ondoy after Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte convened the City Council for a special session to that effect last September 28. The special session presided by Councilor Mabel S. Acosta unanimously approved the resolution. In addition to the city’s cash donation, (through the Philippine National Red Cross), Duterte and the councilors donated their one month salary.
